Ulthera Anesthesia
Misunderstanding of Ulthera
Ulthera and Anesthesia
Sunken Cheeks? Peanut-Shaped Face?
Hello,
Non-surgical contouring is state of art!!
This is a dermatologist, Dr.Filler.
Ulthera is one of the widely
used ultrasonic lifting devices!
When my patients come to
me and get Ulthera,
they often get afraid and ask me
whether Ulthera hurts a lot and whether
Ulthera needs general anesthesia.
May people get nervous until the last minute.
When it starts, they say “It feels okay!”
Some people even say they don’t
feel anything at all, and realize they
don’t need a general anesthesia.
When the heat slowly accumulates,
the patients may feel a slight tingling.
Although many people are afraid,
Ulthera doesn’t feel that painful.
When someone ask me whether Ulthera
needs general anesthesia to prevent any pain,
I answer “At least, Ulthera is
okay without general anesthesia”
About 90% of my patients didn’t feel
pain at all and some only said
it hurt a little bit still bearable.
I even use Ulthera at the maxim length
and maximum energy, which is twice
higher than the energy recommended
by Ulthera company.
When patients still feel painful,
I use the energy level recommended
by Ulthera company.
There is no difference between
Ulthera and Shurink pain.
Some even say Shurink
hurts more than Ulthera.
Although a lot of people get general
anesthesia for Ulthera, general
anesthesia may cause side effects.
I personally get gastroscopy
without anesthesia.
I don’t want to face the risk of general
anesthesia and I don’t want to
bring another person to take care of me.
To do general anesthesia, you have to
empty your stomach because
there is a risk of bringing up
food to throat and lungs.
To be safe, some general anesthesia
last up to 8 hours. That’s too long
for a simple treatment.
The scariest thing is that your
oxygen saturation may
drop during general anesthesia.
That happens but it’s still critical.
I also want to point out that
almost all lifting treatments
involve risk of burns.
People who got serious burns after
lifting mostly were mostly
under general anesthesia.
This is because patients
can’t say anything.
When the heat accumulates on
certain area, patients can tell me.
So, I move to the other areas
first and come back after it cools
down.
I can’t do that when
patients are asleep.
This results in increasing
the risk of burns.
Human body feels pain in
order to protect the body.
You also have to get a
taxi after general anesthesia.
It’s hard to use public
transportation and you
should never drive home.
It’s similar to drunk driving.
Our brain can’t function
properly with a few drops of alcohol
and brain gets slow when you are
half awake after general anesthesia.
So, you shouldn’t drive.
When you do Ulthera
without general anesthesia,
you can meet friends and
eat food and desserts
right before Ulthera.
You can also say immediately
when it feels hot or
painful.
After Ulthera, you can drive
home without feeling drowsy at all.
It’s much simpler.
I am not sure whether
I will change my thoughts or not
but I believe pain of Ulthera can be
controlled without general
anesthesia or narcotic analgesic.
Of course, you still need
numbing cream to make
Ulthera painless.
I do more than just
numbing cream for patients.
I have a tip for using
Ulthera device painlessly.
I keep it a secret to myself.
Some people think getting
more Ulthera is always better,
but that’s not true at all.
When it comes to filler,
I use minimum dosage of filler
only when it’s necessary.
I believe Ulthera should be
used only on necessary area
with adequate amount of dosage.
I don’t use Ulthera excessively.
Getting too many shots eventually
increases the risk of side effects,
such as swelling, pain, and sunken cheeks,
Number of shots is not directly
related to better effects.
Treating other areas is
meaningless. You need
to target precisely.
It’s waste of energy.
You only need numbing ointment to
get the best Ulthera results without any pain!
I always pursue efficient
Ulthera and the optimal Ulthera results.
Are you concerned about
slim face and sunken cheeks?
Ulthera makes your
cheeks look more voluminous!
It also reduces nasolabial
folds and sunken cheeks.
Does Ulthera cause a
peanut-shaped face?
Ulthera may turn normal
face into a peanut-shape face
but Ulthera on jawline actually
reduces peanut-shaped face
and its effect often lasts
longer than one year.
If you are reluctant about Ulthera
because of pain, general
anesthesia, inconvenience,
or side effects such as sunken
cheeks, take a courage
and try Ulthera.
This was a dermatologist,
Dr.Filler. Thank you!!
